Honest assessments
You'll hear what a piece actually needs — including when the answer is nothing at all.
A working bench, a small shop, and one jeweler who answers for every repair that leaves it.

The Jeweler is an independent jewelry and watch repair shop inside Washington Square Mall in Tigard, Oregon. It was built around a simple idea: the person who quotes your repair should be the same person who performs it. That means no shipping your ring to an out-of-state facility and hoping for the best. Sizing, soldering, stone setting, watch batteries and bands — the work happens here, usually the same day, often while you finish your shopping. We design custom rings and engagement rings from scratch when nothing on the market is quite right, buy gold and watches, and offer consignment programs for pieces you'd like to sell.
Ernie has spent his career at the bench, and he still prefers it there. He'll look at your piece with you, tell you plainly what it needs, what it doesn't, and what it will cost before anything begins. He is just as happy talking a customer out of an unnecessary repair as he is taking one on — which is exactly why his customers keep coming back, and keep sending family.

Your jewelry stays here in the shop. It isn't shipped out to a third party.
You'll know the price before any work starts. No surprises at pickup.
Most common repairs are finished the same day, many while you wait.
No appointment, no obligation. Walk in with the piece and we'll tell you what we'd do.
