Accessibility Statement

We want every customer to be able to use this site and visit the shop.

Last updated: August 2026

The Jeweler is committed to making this website, and our shop, usable by everyone — including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or captions.

What we aim for

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That standard is the benchmark we measure this site against.

What we've done

This site was built with accessibility in mind:

Every page uses proper heading structure and landmark regions so screen readers can navigate it. All functionality — including the menu, the photo gallery, and the contact form — works with a keyboard alone, and a visible focus outline shows where you are. Text and interface colors were chosen to meet the contrast requirements, and text resizes without breaking the layout. Images carry descriptive alternative text, videos on the site are silent and decorative, and a "skip to content" link is available at the top of every page. The site honors your operating system's reduced-motion setting.

Where we know we fall short

Some older photographs may have brief or generic alternative text. Embedded content we don't control — notably the Google Maps frame on the contact page — may not fully meet the standard; the shop's full address, phone number, and a plain-text link to directions are always provided alongside it so no information is available only inside the map.

Visiting the shop

The Jeweler is located on the main level of Washington Square Mall, which offers accessible parking, step-free entrances, elevators, and accessible restrooms. Our shop entrance is step-free and our aisle accommodates a wheelchair or walker. If you need us to bring a piece or a chair to you, or need any other accommodation, please ask — we're glad to help.

Tell us about a problem

If you run into a barrier on this site or in the shop, we want to hear about it, and we will do our best to fix it. Contact us by phone or email using the details on our Visit & Contact page and tell us the page you were on and what happened. We aim to respond within five business days, and we will provide the information you were after in another format in the meantime.

Ongoing work

Accessibility isn't a one-time task. We review the site when we make changes and correct problems as we find them.
